Relationships are important and have taken years to build. These relationships continue to grow when you're married- not to the same level of intimacy but grow they do! I think that the person that you are marrying should honour and respect that. For twenty something years of my life (that's if I get married in my twenties) my family and friends have been influencing me. I sure am going to choose someone who sees the value and importance of these relationships.

ReplyDeleteThe thing about any relationship of true value is it will require an amount of sacrifice. The growth/reward will be unmatched, but there will be sacrifice. That is why it is of utmost important that both you and your partner are equally yoked...Christians. This will ensure that all differences can find a solid foundation to build/work from...the word of the Lord. It also means that your sacrifice will not be in vain, as both parties ultimately agree with what it is they wish to achieve, and thus both parties are willing to sacrifice...not just one party.
